HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Queens University of Charlotte's
Todd Withers was named to the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) Southeast Region Second Team, announced this morning.
Withers leads the Royals this season averaging 13.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game this year. He has totaled eight double-doubles this season and recorded a career-high 29 points on two different occasions. Withers also pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds against Tarleton State and totaled a career-high six blocks against Lincoln Memorial. The senior currently ranks ninth on Queens' all-time scoring list with 1324 points and fourth on the all-time rebounding list with 748 rebounds.
The Royals are currently ranked seventh in the nation and set to face No. 1 Lincoln Memorial on Tuesday night in the NCAA DII Men's Basketball Southeast Regional Championship. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Harrogate, Tenn.
Lincoln Memorial's Emanuel Terry was named Southeast Region Player of the Year. Players selected to the region first team will now be listed on the D2CCA All-American national ballot. The All-American team will be announced Monday, March 19.
