CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After a brief road trip, the Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team returns to the friendly confines of Curry Arena to host Anderson University as a part of the University's Homecoming Festivities.
Opening tipoff on Saturday, January 27, is scheduled for 2 p.m. in the Levine Center. Live statistics will be provided by the Queens Athletic Department and a live broadcast of the event will be provided by the
Queens Sports Network with
Brett Williams.
In the last meeting, the Trojans earned a 79-60 win on their home floor as Anderson shot 50 percent as a team and had a 50-21 advantage in total rebounds.
Anderson's Alexis Dillard led all players with 22 points and 15 rebounds, followed by an 18-point performance from Alexy Mollenhaur.
Junior
Ceara Leavai once again led the Royals on offense, finishing with 17 points thanks in large part to a 4-for-6 performance from beyond the three-point arc. Fellow junior
Lade Adepoju and freshman
Herning Wang each tallied 11 points, while freshman
Kristian Eanes chipped in 10 points off of the bench.

-Queens most recently fell to Catawba College 63-60 in Salisbury, N.C. In the Royals latest victory, the team defeated Mars Hill 65-62 for its first SAC win of the year.
-In the Royals victory versus Mars Hill, Adepoju registered career-highs of 27 points and 16 rebounds while making 9-of-16 shots from the floor and 9-of-11 attempts from the free throw line.
-Queens head coach

The Royals are led by Adepoju who averages 17.5 points and 7.9 rebounds per contest while shooting 55.7% from the floor. The Alicante, Spain native is the SAC's second-leading scorer and her field goal percentage tops all qualified players. She also ranks fifth in the league in rebounds per game, including third overall with 2.9 offensive boards per contest.
-Eanes and Mendy McNeese also average double figures on offense with 10.7 and 10.3 points per game, respectively. Caitlyn Moore chips in 8.7 points per game and is shooting 39% from long range.

- Anderson is 6-4 in its last 10 contests, having lost two games in a row to Tusculum College and Lenoir-Rhyne University, and slipped into sixth place in the SAC standings. The Trojans enter the contest at No. 9 in the latest D2SIDA Women's Basketball Southeast Region Media Poll.
-The Trojans are the top rebounding team in the league, averaging 46.8 rebounds per contest and holding a +10.6 rebounding margin.
