Results

BRADENTON, Fla. – Queens University of Charlotte's Danielle Konopelski took second place, while teammate Ella Fox placed ninth, in the women's javelin competition at the 2017 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at IMG Academy. As a result, both Konopelski and Fox received All-America honors.

Konopelski's first throw of 48.07 meters set a new personal best and Queens program record, breaking her previous mark of 45.48 meters set earlier this season on April 15th at the South Atlantic Conference Championships. The runner-up result garnered her a first-team All-American nod.

Fox's final throw of 45.83 meters is also a personal best awarding her second-team recognition.

Bethany Drake of Western Washington University won the national championship with a throw of 51.81 meters. The top-9 of the 21 competitors advanced to the finals.
