CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's lacrosse team will open their season this afternoon at No. 13 Limestone College. Today's game is slated to begin at 3 p.m.
 
Queens was selected to win the South Atlantic Conference for the fourth year in a row in the 2017 SAC Preseason Coaches Poll. Additionally, the Royals ranked No. 9 in the IWLCA Preseason Poll.
 
Clare Gaeng is in her first year with the Royals as head coach after a two-year stint at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
 
The Royals home opener is scheduled for Saturday February 24 at 4 p.m. at the Queens Sports Complex. They will host No. 6 Rollins.
