CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's lacrosse team, ranked 15th in the nation, will take on Tusculum College in the 2016 South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship Semifinals on Friday, April 29 at 4:00 p.m., at the Queens Sports Complex.
Ranked as the tournament's top seed, the Royals completed their season Monday night with an emphatic 9-2 victory over No. 13 Limestone College bringing their regular season record to 15-2. They also completed conference play undefeated for the third year in a row.
The Pioneers, 10-5 in the regular season and 4-4 in league play, defeated Brevard College yesterday in the SAC quarterfinals by a score of 15-8 to earn a trip to the semifinals. Kelsey Crow totaled four goals and two assists to lead Tusculum, while Savannah Elliott tallied four goals.
In the previous meeting between the two squads, Queens was able to put together a series of runs throughout the first and second half to pull away from the Pioneers. Eventually, the Royals, led by junior midfielder
Kelly Dowd's five goals, pulled away for good and finished with a 24-11 victory.

Hanna Scott, leading Queens in points with 69, help push a powerful, balanced attack that features five all-conference selections. Seniors
Bridgette Larranaga and
Sydney Dishman, both selected to the all-conference first team, have led the Royals' defense which has held Queens' opponents to an average of 7.88 goals per game this season.
Tusculum's offense is led by Madison Malone who has totaled 65 points this season on 20 goals and 45 assists. Crow and Elliott follow with 53 and 52 points, respectively.
