A sweep of the double matches saw the Royals give up only one game as
Claire Hamilton and
Hannah Lehfeldt went 8-1 against Anita Maryskova and Nirvanna Silva for the No. 1 court. Court 2 of
Marta Gonzalez and
Jacklyn Pfuhl and court 3 of
Carlotta Nassi and
Jasmine Woods saw perfect 8-0 scores against their opponents.
Caroline Nielsen found the first singles point for the team, moving the Royals one away from the match win. Nielsen swept court 4 with mirroring 6-0 scores against Rachel Stanford. Nassi claimed the deciding point, putting up a 6-0, 6-1, first court win against Anita Maryskova.
Queens went undefeated on the remaining four courts as
Melissa Laing saw a 6-1, 6-0 victory for the No. 3 singles spot against Sam Miranda. Pfuhl took the next point off the board for the team with a 6-1, 6-0, six court victory as
Ana Bolson went 6-0, 6-0 on court 5.
Marta Gonzalez rounded out the day defeating Nirvanna Silva 6-0, 6-2 for the No. 2 spot.
The team will travel to Pfeiffer tomorrow to face the Falcons in a 1 p.m.
