Box Score CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team lost in their South Atlantic Conference opener this evening to Tusculum College, 2-0, bringing the Royals' overall record to 2-2, and their league record to 0-1. The Pioneers improve to 3-1 on the year and 1-0 in SAC play.
In a chippy game that saw seven yellow cards, the Royals found themselves trailing the Pioneers 1-0 at the half thanks to a late goal from Tusculum's Andreas Kvam in the 42
nd minute of play. Kvam ended up in the right place at the right time, collecting a deflection inside the box while Queens was trying to clear the ball. He quickly took advantage firing the ball into the back of the net for the late half lead.

Queens' offense had a number of chances in the second half to put a goal on the board, but they were unable to find the back of the net due to coming up unlucky with their shots or Tusculum's Jorge Alvarez collecting the save.
