Box Score ANDERSON, S.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team fell to the Anderson Trojans 68-54 in their second conference game of the season on Saturday, December 5. 2015. The loss drops the Royals to 2-5 on the season and 0-2 in the SAC.

The Royals had four players who scored double digit points in the game.
Carmen Richardson,
McKell Oliverio, and
Nikki Gleason each had 11 points for the Royals and
Erin Brundage scored 10 in the game.

As a team, the Royals shot 35.3 percent from the field and scored 16 points off of turnovers. Queens was out-rebounded by the Trojans 38-25, but ended up tallying nine steals in the game.

Queens started the game hot, as they came out to a 10-4 lead with 5:27 remaining in the first quarter following a jumper by
Maggie Stewart. Anderson would soon find their own stroke as they went on an 8-2 run to tie the game at 12 points apiece following a Bailey Sims layup with 1:42 remaining in the quarter. The first quarter would end tied at 15 following a three pointer by Anderson's Madison Floyd. The Royals would start the second quarter just as they did the first quarter, on a run. Queens started the quarter on a 9-2 run to take a 24-17 lead over the Trojans following a three pointer by Oliverio. Anderson battled back late in the second as they took their first lead of the game, 30-29 with 1:16 remaining in the half. The Trojans would hold their lead into halftime as the Royals trailed 35-30 going into the break.

Anderson started the third quarter on a 7-2 run to give them a 43-32 lead over the Royals. The Trojans would extend their lead to 55-37 in the third quarter following two made free throws by Tamia Eatmon with 1:35 remaining. Queens responded by going on a 7-0 run to cut the lead to 55-44 with 8:35 remaining in the game. The Royals worked hard to create a comeback but just couldn't close the gap as they ultimately fell to the Trojans, 68-54.

Nakia Young led the undefeated Trojans with 18 points in the game. She was followed by Heather Jankowy who scored 17 points on 4-7 shooting from three-point range.

Queens will return to action on Wednesday, December 9th as they travel to Hartsville, S.C. and match up against the Coker Cobras. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
