Box Score AIKEN, S.C. – A pair of fouls in the box tonight would prove to be costly for the Royals as USC-Aiken scored on two penalty kicks en route to defeating Queens University of Charlotte 3-1 in non-conference men's soccer action. The Royals are now 0-5, while Pacers improve to 3-1-1 on the season.
Queens would hold the lead early in tonight's game as defender
Ryan Kawczynski put the ball in the back of the net in the sixth minute of play.
Ryan Ejezie recorded the assist on the score. Ejezie would also be on the shooting end of Queens' next scoring attempt just under four minutes later, but Joshua Poissant of the Pacers would collect the save on the play.
USC-Aiken would get their chance to even the score in the 26
th following a foul in the box which resulted in a penalty kick. Noel Mais of USC-Aiken stepped up to take the shot, scoring and equalizing the match at 1-1.
The 1-1 score would hold until the 67
th minute when the Royals were whistled for another foul in the box, giving the Pacers' Noel Mais yet another chance to score. Mais connected on the penalty kick giving his team a 2-1 lead.
USC-Aiken's third goal of the night came in the 88
th minute from Jordan Misiri. Rodrigo Goncalves tallied an assist on the play.
The Royals came back to outshoot the Pacers in the second half, 8-6, after being outshot 10-4 in the opening half. Queens saw its fair share of chances to score tallying five shots on goal in the half, coming up unlucky each time. Ejezie led the Royals with seven total shots, four of them being on goal.

Montrell Morgan played 90 minutes in goal, collecting five saves.
The Royals are back at home on Friday against Brevard College at 7:30 p.m.
