Men's soccer facing Lincoln Memorial in semis

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team travels to Rock Hill, S.C., today to take on Lincoln Memorial University in the semifinal round of the 2013 Food Lion SAC Men's Soccer Championships. The game will take place at Manchester Meadows Park and kick-off is at 4 p.m.

The No. 1 seeded Royals defeated Catawba, 2-0, in the quarterfinals to advance to today's game. Leading scorers Erick Suarez and Thiago Andrade each put a goal in the books for the win. The pair currently lead Queens with a combined total of 56 points on 21 goals and 14 assists. Queens has scored 33 goals this season en route to compiling a 14-3 record.

The No. 4 seeded Railsplitters defeated Coker in the quarterfinal round by way of a shootout after a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation. Mario Pinto leads Lincoln Memorial in scoring with 15 goals and four assists for 34 points this season. Leonardo Da Silva is the team's next leading scorer with five goals.

A win today would advance the Royals to the championship match on Sunday at 4 p.m. They would face the winner of the Mars Hill versus Anderson game.
