Box Score GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team, ranked 19
th in the nation heading into tonight's game, had its spectacular season cut short in round two of the NCAA DII Men's Soccer Tournament. The Royals lost 2-1 to the Lander University Bearcats who advanced to the second round after defeating Flagler on Friday night. They will go on to face Carson-Newman College.

Though outshot 7-0 in the opening 45 minutes of action, the Royals were able to keep Lander off the scoreboard not allowing the Bearcats to get a clear shot at the goal. Their one shot on goal in the 33
rd was turned away by Queens goalkeeper

The game would stay knotted at 0-0 in the second until the 70
th minute when Clement Dauchy of Lander scored his 16
th goal of the season to put the Bearcats ahead of the Royals, 1-0. A little over seven minutes later, Michael Johansson would strike for Lander from 10 yards out to give the home team a 2-0 lead.

The Royals, feeling the pressure of time running off the clock, went on the attack at full force finding a goal from sophomore forward
Erick Suarez at 88:57 from five yards out. However, time would tick off the clock before Queens could get another shot attempt off to send the game into overtime.

Queens outshot the Bearcats 6-4 in the second half led by Suarez who took two. Morgan finished the night in goal with two saves. He completes the season at 16-3.Â
