GREENWOOD, S.C.- Following a 1-0 victory in overtime for the third-seeded Bearcats over sixth-seeded Flagler in the opening round of the 2013 NCAA DII Men's Soccer Tournament, the Royals will face Lander University tomorrow night at Jay May Complex in round two. The game is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
General admission is $6, with students being admitted for $4 and children 6-under $2.
The last time these two teams met was in 2007 at Queens. The game ended in a 1-1 draw. The Royals and the Bearcats last met in NCAA Tournament action in 2006. Queens defeated the Bearcats in a shootout following a 0-0 tie. The Royals went on to make it to the Elite 8 that season.
A win for the Royals will advance Queens to the third round game against the Limestone/Carson-Newman winner Nov. 21 or 22 at the highest remaining seed of the Super Region 2 team in Florida. Queens is the second-seeded team in the region behind Limestone.
The Royals are currently ranked 19th in the nation and third in the region.
