Box Score HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Royals traveled to take on Lincoln Memorial University, ranked ninth in the southeast region, falling 2-0 to the Railsplitters in women's soccer action. Queens is now 7-3-2 overall and 3-2-2 in the league this season, while LMU improves to 7-3-1 on the season and 5-2 in the SAC.

The Railsplitters, firing off 12 first half shots, found the back of the net once in the 33
rd minute of the period. Nicole McKinney was able to slip a header past Young after receiving a pass from Olivia Thompson on the play. Queens, looking to knot things up before the break, would send a pair of shots at the Railsplitters late in the half that would go wide of the net leaving LMU with the lead at half.

Sophomore forward
Mary Stringini put a shot on frame 10 minutes into the second looking to equalize the match, but LMU keeper Kayla Stephens would collect the save to keep her team ahead. Another opportunity would come in the 70
th, this time from the foot of freshman defender
Ashley Osiecki at the top of the box. Unfortunately, Stephens was there once again to deflect the shot from crossing the goal line.

The next scoring opportunity would come from LMU's Michelle Allen, who after some fancy footwork in the box, was able to put the ball in the net giving the Railsplitters a 2-0 advantage with 73:32 on the clock. That score would hold until the final horn despite additional attempts from the Royals to put a point on the board.

LMU's offense put pressure on Queens for a good bit of today's game outshooting the Royals 23-9. Queens' goalkeeper,
Jessyca Young, would step up in a big way turning nine shots on frame away for a season-high nine saves on the day.
