BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Campbell University on Thursday evening at the Eakes Athletics Complex. The Royals move to 0-4-1 on the season, while the Camels improve to 3-3-1.

Turning Point
Just over a minute into the matchup, the host Camels struck first following a quick one-two sequence from kickoff. Ava Kanaar connected with Abby Connolly, who finished the opportunity to give Campbell an early 1-nil advantage. Despite the early tally, Queens kept the Camels off the board for the remainder of the first half and entered the break trailing by one. Shortly after the start of the second half, Laney Heafner received the ball on the right wing and attempted to send a cross into the middle before the ball carried toward the far post and found the back of the net to double Campbell's advantage. The Camels added their final tally in the 79th minute when Avery Garrett found the back of the net off assists from Ella Wineka and Mya Wooton, sealing the 3-0 decision.
