BRISTOL Tenn. – No. 44 Queens women's tennis extended win streak to five games with a 6-0 win against King (Tenn.) (6-6) Wednesday afternoon.

For the fifth straight time, the Royals (9-2, 4-0 Conference Carolinas) failed to drop a point in doubles action, sweeping the early matches 3-0. Elena Mileva (Sofia, Bulgaria, First Private English Language School) and Morgan Roberts (Fort Pierce, Fla., Treasure Coast) battled to an 8-5 win over Virginie Brioschi and Nerece Stoltz in the first flight, while the second and third flights -- Christina Rustscheff (Toronto, Canada, Bayview Glen)/Erin Williams (Arden, N.C., T.C. Roberson) and Amanda Poole (Douglasville, Ga., South Paulding)/Hewit Hawn (Naples, Fla., Community School of Naples) – cruised to 8-1 wins.

In her first singles match since falling to Coker's Alyssa Blanchard, Mileva got back on track with a 6-4, 6-3 win against Brioschi in the first flight. Rustscheff and Williams dropped a combined six games in flights two and three, respectively, to pick up a pair of wins.

Roberts began her match against Sarah Anderson in the fourth flight, but nonconference match rules call for the match to conclude once a team reaches five points to secure the victory.

Poole and Gillian Mclinden (Marrietta,Georgia, Marietta) were scheduled to fill the slate in the five and six flights, but never took the court.

Sitting .5 games behind No. 49 Erskine (6-1, 5-0) in the conference standings, the Royals have 10 days to prepare for their trip to Due West, S.C. when they are scheduled to meet the Flying Fleet.
