Jester hit the Royals' second homerun of the season adding two to the Royals score. Carrie Beth Richie (Fayetteville, N.C., Northwood Temple Academy) kept the rally going with a single. Megan Rollins (Salem, Ore., South Salem) pinch ran for Richie and Lathbury drove her in with her second double of the year. Queens closed the inning having cut the Bulldogs lead in half.

Wingate added two more in the fifth, opening an eight run advantage over Queens.

Queens had to score a run to keep the game going, but the batters weren't able to get anything out of the infield and the game was over.
