SALISBURY, NC – The Queens University of Charlotte's women's soccer team was held scoreless for the second consecutive game in their 2-0 loss at Catawba College Wednesday night. With the loss, Queens falls to 2-7-1, while Catawba improves to 5-2-1.
Getting the start for Queens was back-up goalkeeper
Michelle Landry (Atlanta, Ga., Druid Hills ), who allowed 2GA on 8 shots in the loss. Landry didn't receive much help on the other end as the Royals were outshot 22-3.
Erinn Wescoat scored both goals for the home team. The first coming five minutes into the contest as Wescoat tapped in a goal off a crossbar from Andrea Dunshie. The second goal came at 77:40 on a one-timer from Alyssa Retundie.
The Royals have until Saturday to recover, when they welcome Conference Carolinas rival Limestone College for the grand opening of the Queens Sports Complex at 2:00 p.m.
