CHARLOTTE, N.C.-  Fantastic Friday, formerly Midnight Madness, is an event that Queens University of Charlotte has had for years. It is used to kick off the basketball season for the Royals. This year, the members of the Sports Marketing Association took over as it's planners. On October 23rd, the students put on a successful event with fans, faculty, and staff in the bleachers.

The event was marked by the introduction of the men's and women's teams, relay races, and the ever popular dunk contest. Professor Seelbinder, Professor Cox, and student-athlete Matt Dolan were generous enough to act as honorary judges for the dunk contest. Many left the event with hands filled with candy and prizes from the many raffles given out.

The women will tip off their season in the Queens City Classic against Wingate University on November 15th. The men get started against Wingate as well on November 20th.
