Corrine Kule led the Royals during the month of November, earning All-America for her finish at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships. She posted a time of 21:22.7 for 37th overall in the national competition, racing for a personal best. In the Southeast Regional competition, Kule helped the team place second overall to earn a berth to the NCAA Championships. She crossed the finish line as the fastest Royal of the day, tabbing fourth place and qualifying for the all-region team. She clocked a 21:33.51 in the event.
“Corrine has shown excellent leadership on the team by leading the team to Runner-up finish at the NCAA Regional Championship,” said cross country coach Tsehaye Baney. “She continued her success by leading the women’s team to their 15th place finish at the NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships. Corinne is a pleasure to work with and has shown excellence on both the track and in the classroom. It’s rare to have the opportunity to get a transfer in from a division one school, but we could not be more enthused to have her here. She has proven in a brief time to be a leader and mentor to the rest of the women’s team, as well as the Queens’ community.”
