2026 Queens Field Hockey Schedule Released

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Following Monday's announcement of the Queens University of Charlotte field hockey program joining the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, the Royals released their 2026 season schedule this morning. Queens' 2026 season is also the 10th NCAA season in program history for the field hockey program.

"We're looking forward to our 2026 schedule and beginning a new chapter in the MPSF," Queens Head Field Hockey Coach Brandi Kist commented. "We return a strong core of experienced players and are excited about the talent and competitiveness our newcomers will bring to the program. This schedule will challenge us with a combination of familiar opponents and high-quality competition, preparing us for the conference tournament at the end of the season. We look forward to our continued growth and to elevate the competitive standard of our program."

The Royals have a 14-game schedule on the horizon, with just four of their matches scheduled to take place at Bessant Field. Queens' 10-year celebration is scheduled to take place September 19-20. Alumni interested in attending the celebration can ensure receiving an invitation and additionally information about the celebration by making sure their contact information is updated here.

Queens will kick off the year with a pair of road games, facing Richmond on August 28 and Longwood on August 30, before hosting Ohio in their home opener under the lights on Friday, September 4 at 5 p.m.

Three road games will follow Queens' game with the Bobcats as they travel to face App State, Villanova, and La Salle in the month of September. The Royals will then return to the Queen City for back-t0-back home games at Bessant scheduled for September 20 and 25 against LIU and Davidson.

Queens will begin the month of October with games at Stonehill and Vermont on the third and fourth, respectively. A week off will follow before the Royals travel to take on Old Dominion on October 11. They will then play their final road games of the regular season in Muncie, Ind., facing Ohio on October 24 and Ball State on October 25.

The Royals picked up their first win over a D1 opponent, defeating Ball State at home during the 2024 season. The meeting with the Cardinals will be the first since the 3-2 overtime win at Bessant Field.

Queens will close the regular season at home on Sunday, November 1, hosting Lock Haven for Senior Day.

The Royals' 2026 season will culminate with Queens' first appearance in the MPSF Championship Tournament. Delaware will host the MPSF Championship Semifinal on November 6, and the Championship Final will follow on November 7. The Blue Hens defeated UC Davis in the inaugural MPSF Field Hockey Championship played last fall at UC Davis.
