CHARLOTTE, N.C.– The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track and field programs had a select few competing today in the Duke Twilight, looking to secure marks needed to advance to regionals.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Oliver Cooper highlighted the day with his school record-breaking performance in the 800-meter run. The freshman raced to a ninth-place finish in 1:48.49 to beat a record set this season by Danny Raymond.
- Noah Boeck turned in a personal record performance in the 800-meter run, finishing in 1:51.95.
- In the 400-meter dash, Isaac Battles was 30th in 48.70 seconds.
- Jacob Sarto and Dennis Devine turned in their best career performances in the 1500-meter run, clocking in at 3:52.28 and 3:52.70, respectively.
- Jacob Nutzel snagged a first-place finish in the discus throw with a mark of 55.54 meters.
- For the women, Simone Mouras and Rowan Shannon recorded their best times in the 800-meter run, finishing in 2:10.88 and 2:13.70, respectively.
- In the shot put, Vesna Kljajevic finished eighth with a throw of 14.59 meters.

Queens will compete in the ASUN Championships, scheduled for May 14-16.
