Canak Opens NCAA DI Outdoor Track and Field East First Rounds for Queens

RESULTS

LEXINGTON, Ky.- Queens University of Charlotte's Petar Canak of the men's track and field team competed in the long jump at the 2026 NCAA DI Outdoor Track and Field Championship East First Rounds this evening, finishing 32nd in the event.
 
Canak recorded a jump of 7.32 meters in his first-ever appearance at the Championships. The top 12 athletes will advance to the Championships' final site in Eugene, Oregon.

This is the first year that the Royals are eligible to compete for NCAA Championships after becoming a full Division I member in July.

UP NEXT
Vesna Kljajevic will compete in the shot put tomorrow at 6:30 p.m., while Jakob Nützel will compete in the discus throw on Friday at 1 p.m.
