RESULTS
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track and field team competed in the final day of the Charlotte 49er Classic this afternoon.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Oliver Cooper highlighted the day, earning first place in the men's 800-meter run. His time of 1:49.17 ranks second in Queens history.
- In the women's 800-meter run, Rowan Shannon finished 16th in 2:17.79.
- Maya Southerland finished 16th in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 24.79 seconds.
- Thrower Vesna Kljajevic took fourth place in shot put with a throw of 14.55 meters. She also took 10th in the javelin.
- In the high jump, Sara Sandric earned third place, clearing the bar at 1.68 meters. The jump was a personal record and places her in the top five on Queens' top 10 list.
- Josiah Ford also turned in a personal best performance today with a mark of 14.47 meters in the triple jump. He finished fifth in the event.
- Jada Brown finished sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.57 meters.
NEXT UP
The Royals will be back in action at the Raleigh Relays, which are scheduled to take place from March 26-28.
