RESULTS
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track and field team had a great weekend, competing at the Darius Dixon Invite hosted by Liberty University. The Royals turned in multiple season-best performances over the two-day event in preparation for conference championships.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Simone Mouras raced in the women's mile invite, taking 16th place in 5:02.18.
- Marissa Klamorick posted a season-best 1.59 meters in the high jump open. She finished ninth.
- In the shot put, Vesna Kljajevic earned 12th place with a throw of 13.12 meters.
- Triple jumper Jada Brown took 17th in the triple jump upper event with a mark of 11.24 meters.
- Genysis Howard competed in the triple jump lower event, taking seventh place with a mark of 10.96 meters.
- Josiah Ford posted a jump of 1.86 meters in the men's high jump open for fifth place, while Sawyer Davis took eighth with a 1.81-meter jump.
- Ford also took ninth in the men's triple jump upper event with a mark of 14.10 meters. Mekhi Davis took 11th in the event after jumping 13.89 meters.
- Dyson Abrams (13.21 meters) and Michael Robins (13.13 meters0 took fourth and sixth, respectively, in the triple jump lower event.
- The men's DMR team earned fourth place with a time of 10:18.04. Jacob Sarto, James Jones, Oliver Cooper, and Dennis Devine have the 58th-best time in the nation.
NEXT UP
The Asics Last Chance Invitational is scheduled for February 21, while the Atlantic Sun Conference Indoor Championships are scheduled for February 27-28.
