CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its Fall Scholar All-America Teams this past week, with both the Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's swimming programs earning national academic recognition.
The women's team posted an impressive 3.78 cumulative GPA, while the men recorded a 3.51 GPA, with both squads surpassing the 3.00 benchmark required for Scholar All-America Team distinction.
"From the beginning of our program 16 years ago, the expectation in our vision of building leaders for life was to perform at the highest level possible both academically and athletically," said Director of Swimming Jeff Dugdale. "Once again we demonstrate our commitment to our vision."
The honor continues a longstanding tradition of academic excellence for the Royals. Queens swimming has appeared on the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team list every year since 2011, maintaining its place among the nation's top academic programs through its years competing in NCAA Division II and following the program's transition to Division I in 2022.
The CSCAA Scholar All-America distinction recognizes teams across the country that combine elite performance in the classroom with success in competition, further underscoring Queens' commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes. For more information on the CSCAA, click here.
