Men's and Women's Basketball Schedules Adjusted Saturday Due to Inclement Weather

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – In anticipation of the expected snow and ice storm striking the region throughout the weekend, and in an effort to ensure the safety of student-athletes, staff, and fans, the ASUN Conference has adjusted the Saturday basketball doubleheader between Queens and West Georgia.

The women's basketball tilt will now get underway at 12:00 p.m. inside The Coliseum in Carrollton, Georgia, with the men's game following shortly after at 2:30 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+

The women's program enters Saturday afternoon with a 7-10 overall record and 1-5 mark in league play, while West Georgia sits at 12-6 overall and 5-2 in ASUN action. Brenae Jones-Grant has been a sparkplug for the Royals this season, averaging a team-high 11.8 points while pulling down 7.4 rebounds per game.

On the men's side, the Royals are 12-8 on the season, and a perfect 7-0 in league play as they sit atop the ASUN standings. West Georgia sits 9-9 this season, and 3-3 in conference play, with a Thursday night battle set against Central Arkansas. The Royals have six guys averaging at least 8.0 points per game, as Nasir Mann leads the way with 14.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
