The Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team extended its winning streak to six straight to open ASUN play, marking the best start since joining the league in 2022 with an 87-81 victory at Stetson on Saturday afternoon. In the win, veteran
Chris Ashby broke the school record for three-pointers made in his career.
BY THE NUMBERS
-Senior
Nasir Mann led the charge with 20 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and two steals across 34 minutes of action. The double-double was his second of the season and third of his career.
-Rookie
Jordan Watford continued to shine with 14 points, five rebounds, five assists, and a steal. The Lancaster, South Carolina native has reached double figures in all six ASUN games.
-Sophomore
Yoav Berman locked in 12 points, three rebounds, and five assists over 32 minutes of work.

Avantae Parker reached double figures for the 13
th time this season with 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting while also grabbing three rebounds.

Maban Jabriel came off the bench to provide a key spark for the second straight game with 12 points, four rebounds, four assists, and a season-high two blocks.

Chris Ashby and
Carson Schwieger combined for 15 points on five critical three-pointers. Ashby's third triple in the second half surpassed Chris Benson's school record.
-Five Hatters turned in double figures as Jake Johnson led the charge with 19 points while adding four rebounds and three assists.
NOTABLE MOMENTS
-Queens jumped on Stetson, surging out to a 9-3 lead behind four quick points from
Avantae Parker. The Hatters would answer back before the Royals ripped off an 11-2 run on 5-of-6 shooting to extend their lead to 20-8 with 11:43 remaining in the first half.
-Trailing by 10 with 2:36 remaining in the first half, Stetson chipped away at the deficit with a brief 6-3 run to cut the deficit to seven. Queens would use a timeout to draw up a play, which
Nasir Mann converted into two points before the buzzer to give the Royals a 42-33 lead heading into the break.
-Stetson carried their bit of momentum into the second half and opened on a 9-5 run behind six points from Collin Kuhl to cut the deficit back down to five.
-Trailing by 10 again with just 4:59 remaining in the game, Stetson ripped off a 10-2 run to cut the Royals lead down to two. As the game intensified and the crowd was back in it, Queens cashed in their opportunities from the free throw line before
Carson Schwieger buried the dagger from deep with 19 seconds left.

-Ashby became the Royals all-time leader in three-pointers made in school history, surpassing Chris Benson's record, which had stood since 2003.
-Queens saw five different players reach double figures in the same game for the ninth time this season.
-Stetson earned 34 trips to the charity stripe but struggled converting 21 of those attempts.
