RESULTS
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track and field teams traveled to JDL Fast Track today to compete in their first meet of the year, the Mondo College Invitational.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Jumper Josiah Ford highlighted the day for the Royals, setting a new school triple jump record. The sophomore took third place in the event with a mark of 14.69 meters to break his own school record set just last season.
- Mekhi Davis recorded a mark of 14.11 meters for fifth place in the triple jump, and Dyson Abrams took ninth with a mark of 13.70 meters.
- Jumper Petar Canak took third place in the long jump with a mark of 6.91 meters, while Michael Robinson took seventh in the event with a mark of 6.66 meters.
- On the track, Isaac Battles raced to a 12th-place finish in the 200-meter dash. His time of 22.35 seconds tied for second all-time at Queens.
- Freshman Maya Southerland had a great day on the track, taking 11th in the 200-meter seeded race in 25.20 seconds. She also took 12th in the 400-meter run, clocking in at 59.27 seconds. Both times are ranked in the top 10 at Queens.
- Rowan Shannon earned the only first-place finish of the day for the Royals, recording a time of 2.16.87 in the 800-meter run. Simone Mouras took sixth place in the race in 2:23.55.
- In jumps, Halle Perry took fourth place in the high jump with a mark of 1.58 meters. Marissa Klamorick took ninth in the event with a jump of 1.53 meters.
- Jumper Jada Brown earned second place in the triple jump with a mark of 11.53 meters.

Queens will be back in action at the Orange and Purple Invitational hosted by Clemson on January 23-24.
