Queens Opens ASUN Championship with a Pair of Wins

RESULTS
 
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track and field teams opened competition at the 2025 ASUN Outdoor Track & Field Championships today at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.
 
Queens' women sit tied for second with 27 points heading into Friday, while the men are tied for third place with 15 points.
 
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
  • Heloise Louiset earned gold in the high jump after recording a mark of 1.72 meters. The win gives the jumper the indoor and outdoor championship wins in the event this season. Additionally, her jump ranks fourth on Queens' top 10 list.
  • In the women's javelin, Emilija Kusic finished second with a throw of 40.40 meters. Vesna Kljajevic's throw of 34.07 meters also contributed to the Royals' total as it was the seventh-best performance. Kusic's throw is ranked seventh on Queens' top 10 list.
  • Alexander Mannel earned his first ASUN Championship win, taking the top spot in the pole vault after clearing the bar at 5.00 meters. His mark was also a new school record.
  • Robin Ott took fourth place in the pole vault with a mark of 4.57 meters, which is fourth in Queens' record books.
UP NEXT
Day Two of the ASUN Championships will begin at 8 a.m. with the completion of the decathlon and heptathlon.
