Kayleen Favreau Named ASUN Co-Offensive Player of the Year; Five Royals Recognized with Postseason Awards

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte junior attacker Kayleen Favreau has repeated as the Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year, earning the award along with Sydney McClure of Coastal Carolina. Additionally, the league's postseason awards announced today included Favreau and Avery McMullin honored on the All-ASUN First Team, Isabella Swanson and Savannah Donahue named to the Second Team, and Devan Maready recognized on the All-Freshman Team.
 
Favreau started in all 17 games for the Royals this season, totaling 60 goals and 12 assists for 72 points. During the 2025 season, she reached the 150 career-goal and 200 career-point marks, ending her junior season with 166 goals and 209 points. She recorded a hat trick or better in 10 games, scoring a new career-high nine goals against Stetson to set a new single-game record at Queens. The Holly Springs, N.C., native is currently ranked fourth all-time at Queens in goals. At the close of the regular season, Favreau ranked first in the league in total goals, second in goals per game, third in points, and third in points per game. She also ranked in the top 15 in the nation in total goals. On April 14, she was named ASUN Offensive Player of the Week. This is Favreau's third time being recognized on the All-ASUN Team.
 
McMullin, a senior defender, earns the recognition for the first time after starting in all 17 games for Queens. McMullin closed the season leading the Royals in caused turnovers and ground balls with 31 and 42, respectively, while also recording two assists. During the season, the defender tallied her 100th career ground ball against Liberty. She also recorded a career-high four caused turnovers against Stonehill and Virginia Tech, and a career-high six ground balls against Kennesaw State. At the close of the regular season, McMullin was ranked fourth in the ASUN in caused turnovers and caused turnovers per game, fifth in ground balls per game, and seventh in ground balls. On March 3, she was named ASUN Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Swanson, a junior midfielder, is being honored for the first time after starting in all 17 games for the Royals and totaling 18 goals and 9 assists for 27 points. The Elmhurst, Ill., native was an impactful player on both ends of the field, notching 43 draw controls, 32 ground balls, and 26 caused turnovers. She recorded a career-high five points against Kennesaw State and a career-high three goals against the Owls and Lindenwood. Swanson also tallied a career-high four caused turnovers against the Lions and scored the game-winning goal over Niagara.
 
Donahue, a sophomore defender, also earns the honor for the first time after starting in all 17 games for Queens. She ranked second on the team in caused turnovers and ground balls with 28 and 32, respectively. The New Market, Md., native scored her first career goal against Kennesaw State and notched a career-high four ground balls against Temple and Niagara. She also tallied a career-high four caused turnovers against Niagara.
 
Maready, a freshman goalkeeper, makes an appearance on the ASUN All-Freshman team after making the start in goal through the Royals' first 14 games. The Cape Carteret, N.C., totaled 111 saves this season, tallying a career-high 13 against Richmond, who ranked 19th nationally when the Royals met them early in the season. Maready also had 23 ground balls, notching a career-high four ground balls against Stonehill, ECU, and Wofford. At the close of the regular season, she ranked fourth in the ASUN in goals against average and sixth in saves per game.
 
The Royals wrapped their 2025 season on Saturday, April 26, with an 18-7 win over Lindenwood at home. Sitting at 6-11 on the season and tied for third in the ASUN at 3-3, the Royals will miss postseason play due to RPI rankings.
