The Short Story: The Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team fell to the Stetson Hatters on Thursday night, 44-62.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Nicole Gwynn led the team with 14 points on the day.
- Jordyn Weaver completed her eighth consecutive double-digit game scoring 12 points.
- Alexandria Johnson was also in the mix in scoring, netting 11 points and leading the team with three assists.
NOTABLE MOMENTS
- The Royals did not start the game productively with the Hatters going on a 10-2 run in the first five minutes of the game.
- Queens put up their best battle in the third quarter where the team scored 14 to Stetson 16 and were able to cut the lead to nine.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- Stetson's bench tremendously outscored the Royals 25-2
- The Hatters also ended the game with 30 points in the paint while the Royals had 16.
- The Royals finished 7-13 from the free throw line with all of the made baskets coming in the second half of the game.
