The Short Story: The Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team fell to the Floride Gulf Coast University on Saturday afternoon, 60-86.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Kemia Ward set a career high points as she finished the game with 14 points. The junior went 6-9 from the free throw line serving as her best performance from the charity strip this season.
- Jordyn Weaver led the team in points and rebounds for the second time this season with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
- Weaver picks up her ninth straight game with double-figures and her eight double-double of the season.
NOTABLE MOMENTS
- The Royals started the game hot, shooting 4-4 from the field to start the game. Queens held a lead for almost 3 minutes in the first quarter.
- The Eagles went on an 11-0 scoring run in the second quarter that resulted in a Royals three and half minute scoring drought which helped increase the Eagles lead.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- The Royals secured more points after offensive rebounds than the Eagles ending the game with 18 second chance points to the Eagles 13.
- The fourth quarter featured the most points from the Royals though it was the only quarter without a made three-pointer.
