CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte head baseball coach
Jake Hendrick is thrilled to announce the 2025 baseball schedule on Tuesday afternoon. The 55-game slate features a fierce non-conference lineup with four SEC programs and two ACC squads. In addition, Queens will tackle four Big South schools along with programs in the Big 12, Sun Belt, Ivy League, and SoCon.
Amongst those included in non-conference play, nine programs made the NCAA Tournament with four advancing to the NCAA Super Regionals and two reaching the College World Series. Additionally, four of those opponents claimed their conference tournament title.
"I love our schedule," said Hendrick. "We wanted to put together as challenging a schedule as we could. Being in big games and big environments is something we want to expect out of ourselves in the future, and what better time than now to get those types of games on the schedule."
Queens will get their seventh season underway on the road as the Royals head to Hickory, North Carolina for a three-game swing at Appalachian State on February 14th. The series will be the second all-time as the Mountaineers are coming off a semifinal appearance in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. Following opening weekend, the Royals will head south to Columbia for the third all-time meeting with South Carolina, a program that is coming off their 35
th NCAA Tournament appearance after playing in the Raleigh Regional last season.
The Royals will return to the Queen City for their home opener, and first-ever meeting against Yale. The three-game stint will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14
th at the Richard "Stick" Williams Dream Fields. Queens will return to the road for a midweek matinee against the reigning Big South Tournament Champions from High Point on Tuesday, February 25
th.
Queens will continue non-conference action with a unique opportunity as the Royals host West Virginia for a four-game series. The Mountaineers are coming off a Regional Championship in Tucson before falling in the Super Regionals at North Carolina. The series will mark the first time that Queens hosts a Power Four program. The two squads will meet on Friday, February 28
th, and Saturday, March 1
st at Atrium Health Ballpark in Kannapolis, North Carolina before the series shifts to Greensboro on Sunday. The series will conclude on Monday, March 3
rd in the Queen City at the Richard "Stick" Williams Dream Fields at 1:00 p.m.
The Royals will then have a quick turnaround as they head to Starkville, Mississippi for a three-game series against Mississippi State. The Bulldogs are coming off a Quarterfinals appearance in the SEC Tournament and a Regional Finals appearance in the Charlottesville Regional last season. Queens will return home to welcome UNC Asheville on Tuesday, March 11
th before getting into conference play at West Georgia on Friday, March 14
th.
"By the time we get to conference play, there won't be anything that anyone can throw at us that we haven't already been exposed to."
Following the first-ever meeting with the Wolves, Queens will host North Florida for a three-game series in the Queen City. The remainder of the schedule will be split between non-conference play during the week and ASUN action across the weekend.
Queens will kick off a lengthy eight-game road swing on Tuesday, March 25
th when the Royals head to Knoxville for a showdown with the reigning national champions from Tennessee. The two programs met for the first time last season and Queens put the Volunteers on upset watch by taking a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the seventh inning.
Heading back to league play, the Royals will square off against Jacksonville from March 28
th through March 30
th. Queens will look to get right against the Dolphins after suffering a three-game sweep in Jacksonville last season. The road stretch will continue on Tuesday, April 1
st as the Royals will open the new month in Athens against Georgia. The Bulldogs are coming off a Regional Championship before falling at home in the Super Regionals to N.C. State.
With the season halfway complete, Queens will head to DeLand, Florida for a three-game series against the reigning ASUN Tournament Champions from Stetson. The Royals are 2-4 all-time against the Hatters and salvaged the series last season with a walk-off home run in extra innings on senior day. Queens will wrap up the eight-game road trip on Tuesday, April 8
th in their second meeting of the season with UNC Asheville.
The Royals will play six of their next seven in the Queen City hosting Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson for a pair of weekend series. Queens will head to Radford between those weekend stints on Tuesday, April 15
th for the second all-time meeting with the Highlanders.
Another lengthy, but quick road trip will be on the other side for Queens as the Royals will play six road games in nine days. The action will get underway at Wofford on Tuesday, April 22
nd before the Royals head to Florida Gulf Coast for their second meeting of the season. Wofford is coming off a SoCon Tournament Championship and a Regional Finals loss to LSU. Queens will return to Charlotte and get back on the road for back-to-back games against Winthrop and North Carolina. The Tar Heels are coming off a College World Series appearance after taking down LSU and West Virginia in the Chapel Hill Regional and Super Regionals.
With two weeks left in the regular season, Queens will welcome Jacksonville for a three-game homestand beginning Friday, May 2
nd. The Royals will return to the road against the reigning ACC Tournament Champions from Duke. The Blue Devils are coming off an appearance in the Norman Regional hosted by Oklahoma. The regular season will wrap up with a four-game homestand beginning with Radford on May 13
th. Queens will conclude the regular season against West Georgia beginning Thursday, May 15
th.

The new Atlantic Sun format includes two divisions, the Northwest Division and the Southeast Division. Six schools are divided into each division with the Royals playing in the southeast division alongside Florida Gulf Coast, Jacksonville, North Florida, Stetson, and West Georgia. The northwest division hosts Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Central Arkansas, Eastern Kentucky, Lipscomb, and North Alabama.
