- After the Spartans jumped to an early 7-2 lead, the Royals followed with a 7-0 run which gave them a 9-7 lead going into the first media timeout
- After taking a 16-12 lead into the second quarter, the Royals came out firing out of the break after a three-pointer by Alexandria Johnson and a mid-range jumper by Jordyn Weaver forced the Spartans to take a timeout and gave Queens a 21-12 lead with 8:40 until halftime
- Both teams experienced extended scoring droughts during the middle part of the second quarter. The Spartans experienced a 4+ minute drought as they were stuck at 19 points and were down 23-19. During this period, Nicole Gwynn sunk a three-pointer which led to three straight possessions with a bucket for the Royals as they took a 30-19 lead with less than 2 minutes until halftime
- Following an injury to Jordyn Weaver in the third quarter, the Spartans shot their way back into the game and only trailed by one heading into the fourth quarter
- The fourth quarter was highly competitive as both sides clawed for the lead. After a stoppage with 1:54 left, the Royals held a 53-51 lead

The Royals travel west to take on UNC Asheville in Asheville, North Carolina on Tuesday, November 21st at 2:00 PM. This will be the second-ever meeting between the Royals and Bulldogs as UNCA defeated Queens 68-57 last November in Curry Arena. The Royals return home the following Sunday to host Division III Wesleyan College.
