Four Newcomers Added to Women’s Soccer on National Signing Day

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Head coach Shannon Neely Noel and the Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team welcomed four new players to the Queen City on National Signing Day. These newcomers join the Royals from three different states including North Carolina, New York, and Georgia.

"Coming off of an exciting season, where we saw growth in so many areas," said head coach Shannon Neely Noel. "We are thrilled to be announcing the first members of our 2024 freshman class."

Alivia McCain
The Concord, NC native played high school soccer at Cox Mill High School and was named All-Conference and All-Region back-to-back in 2022-2023. McCain also received the title of Offensive MVP in 2021.

Brooke Gallo
A two-year varsity player for the Sachem North High School soccer team and six-year Long Island Soccer Club veteran, Gallo comes to Charlotte from Holbrook, New York. She has been recognized as a three-time Gothia Cup winner by the National Center of Excellence's elect squad.

Juliana Hunter
Hunter joins the Royals as a multi-sport high school athlete who participated in soccer, lacrosse, and flag football. As a five-year varsity soccer player, she received All-conference and All-county honors and was named one of the Top 100 girls soccer players on Long Island by Newsday. The North Babylon, New York native is an ODP Regional and ODP National team member.

Rachel Zetina
The Cumming, GA native brings years of club soccer experience after playing for the United Futbol Academy. Throughout high school, Zetina was a member of many academic clubs such as SkillsUSA, HOSA, Spanish Honor Society, Key Club, and Linus Project.       

"This is a group that has been identified and evaluated for what they will bring to our program both on and off the field," continued Neely Noel. "Their excitement to join the Royals family and continue the momentum we have started to build in the D1 era is palpable, there's no doubt they will add to our team and the Queens' community."
