CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer and head coach Shannon Neely Noel have officially announced the program's 2026 schedule, highlighted by nine home matches at Dickson Field and a challenging slate of non-conference and ASUN conference opponents.
"This year is another great opportunity for us to carry our momentum forward," said Neely. "We return a plethora of talent and experience that will help us compete. We are also adding a great group of newcomers that will add to our efforts against a competitive non-conference slate before taking on our conference opponents. With the addition of West Florida and the shift of teams, we enter a new era of the ASUN, and we are prepared and excited to stake our claim."
The Royals will begin the preseason with a pair of exhibition matches, traveling to High Point on August 5 before facing crosstown rival Charlotte on August 8. Queens opens the regular season at home on August 12 against The Citadel before hitting the road to take on Gardner-Webb on August 16.
"Our home and season opener gives a great chance to kick the season off in front of our home crowd," Neely said.
Queens continues non-conference play with trips to Richmond on August 23 and Coastal Carolina on September 17 while hosting Winthrop (Aug. 27), South Carolina State (Sept. 6), and USC Upstate (Sept. 13) at Dickson Field. The Royals will also travel to Campbell on September 9 to wrap up the non-conference schedule.
"We sought to mirror our conference schedule in non-conference to prepare us for ASUN play," Neely said. "This includes two first-time opponents in The Citadel and Coastal Carolina."
ASUN conference play begins with a Florida road swing as Queens travels to face FGCU on September 24 and Stetson on September 27. The Royals then return home for four consecutive conference matches, hosting Jacksonville (Oct. 1), North Florida (Oct. 4), Bellarmine (Oct. 8), and Lipscomb (Oct. 11).
The second half of conference play features road contests at West Florida on October 18, Lipscomb on October 22, and Bellarmine on October 25 before Queens concludes the regular season at home against West Florida on October 31.
The 2026 ASUN Women's Soccer Championship is scheduled to begin on November 5, with semifinal and championship rounds slated for November 8 and November 13, respectively.
