Box Score CHARLOTTE, N.C.- With a chance to clinch their first ever ASUN tournament appearance, the Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team took on Kennesaw State in the final regular season game of the season. The Royals suffered a setback at the hands of the Owls 3-1 on the afternoon. With the result, the Royals fall to 4-6-7 overall and 2-3-6 to finish the regular season with 12 points in conference play while the Owls improve to 4-8-6 overall and 3-5-3 in conference play to also end the season with 12 points. Also due to the result, the Royals need to wait for several games later in the night to determine whether or not they will play in the ASUN tournament and who they will play if so.

Turning Point
Coming into the day, the Royals needed a win or draw or help from Jacksonville against North Florida in order to clinch their first ever appearance in the ASUN tournament. The Royals struggled in the first half and went into the locker room down 1-0 after a 41st minute goal from Macie Rainwater from the Owls. However, during the halftime break, Jacksonville closed a 1-0 victory against North Florida which helped the Royals in their potential postseason berth.
