CHARLOTTE, N.C.- On a day dedicated to Morgan's Message and athlete mental health, the Queens University of Charlotte field hockey fell to La Salle 7-0. With the setback, the Royals fall to 0-11 on the season while the Explorers improve to 7-4.

Turning Point

Despite several scoring opportunities, the Royals defense held strong to keep the Explorers scoreless in the first period. However, La Salle continued their attack into the second period with three goals in the period beginning with an unassisted goal by Sophia Wasyliw. Wasyliw finished with a hat trick in the game.

Up Next

The Royals travel to New England next weekend where they will play two games in three days beginning with a 1:00 PM match against Providence on Sunday, October 8th and followed with a 12:00 PM match against Holy Cross on Tuesday, October 10th. It will be the first time the Royals match up with either the Friars or the Crusaders in their history. The following weekend, the Royals return home for their Senior Day matchup against Appalachian State.
