CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The No. 36 Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team dominated South Atlantic Conference foe No. 23 Carson-Newman University by a final score of 4-3 on Saturday afternoon at the Howard Levine Tennis Center. The victory extends the Royals winning streak to six matches as Queens has now defeated three nationally ranked ITA opponents.
 
The Royals had an early lead as they won all three doubles matches to earn the first point of the day. The No. 1 duo of Edoardo Bottino and Laurenz Blickwede were 6-3 winners for Queens, as Edoardo Cecere and Win Steveker followed through with a 6-1 win at No. 2. Berk Enc and Yoan Roussinov closed the doubles play with a 6-4 victory at No. 3.
 
Though the Eagles came back fighting, it wasn't enough to catch the Royals as singles play opened with a 6-0, 6-1 win from Edoardo Bottino, the No. 52 singles player in the nation. Junior Edoardo Cecere returned to the court for Queens and followed with a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 2, while Win Steveker kept the momentum going with a 5-7, 7-5 victory in the opening sets before earning the point via retire by Rintaro Oka.
 
Queens will stay in Charlotte as they host Lander University for a non-conference regional match on Monday, April 11^th at 2.30 p.m. at the Howard Levine Tennis Center. This match is a rescheduled match from earlier in the season. Following the match, Queens will go on the road for a match at Lenoir-Rhyne on Thursday before returning home to celebrate senior day on Friday, April 15. The Royals will do an intra-squad scrimmage and hold senior day festivities ahead of the matches.
