THE SHORT STORY:
Queens men's tennis battled at home Thursday afternoon but fell 4-3 to Georgia State in a tightly contested match at the Howard Levine Tennis Center. The Panthers secured the doubles point, before the Royals responded in singles action to even the match at 3-3. The contest came down to No. 6 singles, where Gavin Ryan and Sota Minami in a deciding match which went down to the final set. Although Gavin Ryan pushed Sota Minami to the extreme, Minami clinches the match in the closing moments securing the Panthers with a 4-3 victory on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Georgia State claimed the doubles point with wins on both No. 1 while No. 2 doubles team secured the point to take an early advantage going into singles.
- Queens earned their first singles point as Diego Jimenez picked up a straight-set victory followed by another straight-set win from Noe Villen.
- Trailing 3-2 in the match, Gavin Ryan delivered a singles victory to even the score.
- The match came down to the final court as Gavin Ryan forced a third set in the deciding singles matchup but fell, allowing the Panthers to take the 4-3 victory.
