Royals Drop Match to the Bulldogs at Home

THE SHORT STORY:
Queens men's tennis competed at home Monday afternoon but fell 4-1 to the Bulldogs at the Howard Levine Tennis Center. The Royals earned a point in singles play and made a couple matches close, however the Bulldogs used depth across the lineup to secure the road victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- SCSU claimed the doubles point with wins on two courts while the No. 3 doubles were unfinished to take an early advantage.
- Queens picked up its only point in singles at No. 6, where Gavin Ryan controlled the tempo for a straight-sets sweep.
- Filippo Scala forced third sets in his singles match, competing well before coming up short.
- Diego Jimenez took the opening set 7-5 and was trailing 6-5 in the second before the match was halted.
- The Bulldogs won out the remaining courts to clinch the match.
