THE SHORT STORY:
Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to Abilene Christian in their first ever ASUN Tournament appearance. The Wildcats for Abilene Christian secured the doubles point, winning at No. 2 and No. 3 positions, while Noe Villen and Filippo Scala match were halted at No. 1 doubles. Queens couldn't find a way in singles as Abilene Christian carried the momentum throughout the lineup, winning in straight sets on multiple courts. Noe Villen, Hamilton Huitt, and Filippo Scala battled in competitive close sets before their matches were halted. At No 6 singles, Ethan Scribner clinched the match sending Abilene Christian to the quarterfinals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In doubles action, Noe Villen and Filippo Scala trailed 4-5 in a tightly contested match before their match was halted. At No. 3 doubles Jorge Aza and Dennis Dutine won 6-2, while Luis Nakamine and Tomas Quesada followed with a 6-3 victory to secure the first point in the match.
- In singles action, Aza gave Abilene Christian their first singles point in straight sets to increase their lead 2-0, respectively.
- Tomas Quesada followed it up with another straight set victory to give them a comforting 3-0 lead, with three remaining matches.
- The Royals were unable to overcome this obstacle as Scribner clinched the match for the Wildcats with their third straight set victory.
