CHARLOTTE, N.C – The Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team (3-2, 2-0 SAC) picked up a convincing 6-1 win over Coker University on Tuesday afternoon at the Howard Levine Tennis Center. The Royals comeback allowed them to win 12 out of the 15 sets in the contest as they remain a perfect 2-0 in South Atlantic Conference action.
 
"This team improves incrementally with each match," Royals Head Tennis Coach Billy Boykin stated. "It was nice to get back out on the courts so quickly after a tough loss last Saturday. These guys like to compete and we are hungry for more match play."
 
Queens tallied two of the three doubles matches, including a 6-4 win at No. 1 between the tandem Edoardo Bottino and Edoardo Cecere and No. 3 by the duo of Laurenz Blickwede and Euan Lynes.
 
With the confidence running high from the doubles, the Royals were able to dominate in the singles play. Edoardo Bottino opened the singles with a 6-0, 6-2 win and Edoardo Cecere followed with a 7-5, 6-2 victory. After a 7-5, 6-1 win by freshman Laurenz Blickwede, seniors' Yoan Roussinov and Jan Malmon clinched their matches respectively with a 6-2, 6-0 and 6-2, 7-6 victories.
