RESULTS
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. –The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track & field teams continued competition at the Camel City Invitational today recording multiple NCAA DII provisional marks on the track.
Queens'
Fatima Alanis was the lone Royal competing in an elite race at the meet, running in the 3,000-meter run. She would finish 13
th overall with a time of 9:21.56 which is the second-ranked time in the country currently. Alanis' time was also a new school record in the event.
Cherise Carreira ran in the women's 3,000-meter run taking 17
th place in a time of 9:53 which was also a provisional mark.
In the men's 3,000-meter run,
Jan Lukas Becker finished first in 8:07.02.
Mathurin Boutte followed in second place (8:08.27) and
Eric Keogh was fourth (8:11.25). All runners recorded DII provisional times.
In the 800-meter run,
Carlin McFadden recorded a time of 2:13.45 to set a new school record in the women's event. She took fourth place in the race. On the men's side,
Adam Wright took third crossing the finish line in 1:52.71. Both times were also DII provisional marks.
Lastly,
Stevie Lawrence-Wrist raced in the women's mile taking fourth place in a DII provisional time of 4:53.56.
All times listed are converted due to JDL being a flat track.
Queens' multi-athletes will be in action in the JDL February Multi and Track Meet taking place Feb. 7-8.
