RESULTS
ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track & field team completed their time at GVSU today competing in the Big Meet Saturday.
The Royals recorded seven NCAA DII provisional marks at the meet today along with a pair of school records.
Both the men's and women's DMR teams set new school records with their performances today. The women's team made up of
Stevie Lawrence-Wrist,
Carlin McFadden,
Stina Pettersson, and
Fatima Alanis took second place in 11:39.79. They currently sit eighth nationally in the event.
The men's team made up of
Adam Wright,
Niklas Klei,
Remi Liberse, and
Mitchel Cox finished fourth in a time of 9:47.93. The group currently ranks ninth nationally.
In the 3,000-meter run,
Cherise Carreira took first in the women's race in a provisional time of 9:56.78, her fastest time this season in the event. In the men's race,
Mathurin Boutte finished first in 8:14.87 while
Jan Lukas Becker was second with a time of 8:19.29.
Off the track,
Martin Knauer took first place in the shot put with a toss of 17.52-meters (57-5.75). His throw was a DII provisional mark as well.
Next on the Royals' schedule is the JDL DMR Invite which will take place Feb. 18-19.
