SUMTER, S.C. – The second-seeded Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team was upset in the SAC Men's Tennis Championship Semifinals on Friday afternoon by third-seeded Tusculum University by a 4-3 score at the Palmetto Tennis Center.
In doubles play, Queens won the first point of the day via wins at Nos. and 2. The 23-ranked duo in the nation,

Kasper Rolfsen, won 6-4 in the top flight followed by a 7-5 win in the second flight by the tandem of
Edoardo Bottino/
Edoardo Cecere.
Queens won the top singles flights in straight sets as Bottino (6-3, 6-3) and Bompieri (7-5, 6-3) earned two more points for the Royals. However, the Pioneers tallied four wins in singles play, including two contests that went the distance of all three sets, to complete the upset.
The Royals will now await their NCAA Tournament fate which will be announced on Tuesday, May 4 at 8:00 p.m. on NCAA.com.
