13th-Ranked Queens Shuts Out UVA Wise For 10th Win

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Eleven different players contributed to a 7-0 shutout over UVA Wise for the 13th-ranked Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team at the Howard Levine Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
 
"This was a good weekend for us," said Head Tennis Coach Billy Boykin. "We look sharper each week. I am excited to see how much we can improve over the last month of the season."
 
The Royals won all three doubles contests, clinching the first point of the day with a 6-1 win at No. 3 by Zachary Dacuba/Filippo Ercole.
 
In singles play, wins at Nos. 2 and 6 by Jan Malmon and Simon Le Xiong, respectively, put the Royals within a point of victory. Kasper Rolfsen earned match point with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at No. 3 followed by individual victories from Lleyton Dacuba, Euan Lynes and Yoan Roussinov.
 
The Royals are back on the court on Tuesday when the team travels to Gaffney, S.C. to take on Limestone University in the first match of a three-match road trip.
