2022 Men's and Women's Tennis Schedules Released

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte and head men's and women's tennis coach Billy Boykin are excited to announce the 2022 tennis schedule. The schedule features 16 regular season matches, including ten dual matches at the Howard Levine Tennis Center in Charlotte.

Last season, both programs had outstanding seasons making deep runs in the South Atlantic Conference tournament. The men finished last year 14-4 overall and 11-1 in league action before falling 4-3 in the semifinals to the eventual conference tournament champions from Tusculum. On the women's side, the Royals would finish 12-4 on the season and 9-2 in conference action and made the conference tournament finals before dropping the match 4-3 to No. 15 Wingate.

Queens will open the new season on the road at Newberry on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 2:00 p.m. The Royals will return home and spend the remainder of February in Charlotte hosting four consecutive home matches. The Royals are set to welcome North Carolina A&T, Catawba, North Georgia, and Coker for their longest home stretch of the season.

Following the homestand, Queens will continue South Atlantic Conference play when they travel to Mars Hill on Mar. 11 for an afternoon battle with the Lions. Queens will wrap up the weekend when the men welcome Division I opponent James Madison University to Charlotte.

Moving forward, the Royals will have a heavy conference load to wrap up the season as Queens faces eight SAC representatives in the final nine matches. The stretch will begin with a home match against the defending conference champions from Wingate on March 16 before heading to Anderson for a bout with the Trojans. The Royals will wrap up the month of March with contests against Lander and Limestone at home and a road trip to Tusculum. For the Lander match, the men are only slated to compete on the afternoon.

In the final stretch of the regular season, Queens will welcome Lincoln Memorial and Carson-Newman on back-to-back weekends at the beginning of April. The Royals will wrap up the regular season on the road taking on Lenoir-Rhyne and UVA Wise before the South Atlantic Conference Championships are scheduled to begin April 21-23.
