Ross Steedley are proud to announce the Royals 2022 regular season baseball schedule. The slate features 50 total games, including 21 contests at Tuckaseegee Dream Fields.
The Royals, who finished the 2021 season with a 9-21 overall record, open the new season on the road for their first five games. The Royals will travel to St. Augustine, Fl. for a three-game series with Flagler College beginning Saturday, Feb. 5. Queens will stay on the road during the week with a game at Erskine College before heading to Lander University for a game on Friday, Feb. 11. Following the evening game, both teams will get on the road and travel to Charlotte to continue the weekend series. The Royals home opener will be on Saturday, Feb. 12 against the Bearcats at 1:00 p.m.
Queens will open up a five-game homestand with a single game against Erskine College on Wednesday, Feb. 23 before starting South Atlantic Conference action on Friday, Feb. 25 when they host Tusculum for a three-game weekend series. A showdown with UNC Pembroke on Mar. 1 at 2:00 p.m. will wrap up the Royals home stretch before the veteran team enters spring break. During break, the Royals will be on the road for a weekend series with Catawba in Salisbury before heading to face the defending national champions from Wingate on Tuesday, Mar. 8 at 4:00 p.m.
As the season gets into the second half, the Royals will dive quickly into their conference schedule hosting Limestone University on Mar. 11-12 and Mars Hill on Mar. 18-19. Following consecutive home weekends, Queens will continue conference play at Newberry and Coker on back-to-back weekends before hosting Wingate on Tuesday, Apr. 5 at 3:00 p.m. Queens will host seven of their remaining twelve regular season games in Charlotte, including contests with Southern Wesleyan, Mount Olive, Anderson, Lenoir-Rhyne, and North Greenville. The Royals will conclude the regular season with a trip to UVa-Wise on Apr. 22-23.
Queens is scheduled to play home-and-home games with Lander, North Greenville, UNC Pembroke, Wingate, Belmont Abbey, Mount Olive, and Southern Wesleyan.
