JEFFERSON CITY, TENN. – The No. 21 Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team was firing on all cylinders Saturday afternoon, dropping only one set all day in collecting a dominant 7-0 victory over Carson-Newman University at Mossy Creek.
 
Queens swept doubles play to collect the first point of the match, beginning with a 6-2 win from the No. 1 tandem of Paolo Bompieri and Joel Dunlap. The duo of Agustin Aran Martin and Julian Bosch won 6-3 at No. 2 and the team of Sebastian Meum and Kasper Rolfsen preserved their perfect doubles record with a 6-4 victory at No. 3 to finish off the sweep.
 
Bosch was a 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (10-7) at No. 1, followed by a 7-5, 6-0 win from Aran Martin at No. 2 to bring the Royals closer to victory. Bompieri's 6-1, 6-2 triumph at No. 3 sealed the match decision for Queens.
 
Senior Mathias Degardin won his matchup at No. 4 by a 6-4, 6-2 score, while Dunlap (6-2, 6-3) and Meum (6-1, 6-2) won at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
 
The Royals face rival No. 5 Wingate University in the team's next match on Wednesday, March 20 at 2:00 p.m. from Wingate, N.C.
